Dr Samson Osagie, Edo State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, stated on Friday that the People Democratic Party and its governorship candidate, Asue Ighodalo, failed to provide tangible proof in their complaints before the Edo State Governorship Election Tribunal. On Wednesday, the Tribunal, chaired by Justice Wilfred Kpochi, dismissed the PDP and Ighodalo's case for failure to substantiate the claim of over-voting, affirming that Governor Monday Okpebholo received the most legal votes in the election. The panel questioned how the petitioners demonstrated their evidence in regard to the claims made before it.
Speaking during the 10-year remembering anniversary of his late father, Pa Samson Imarhiagbe-Ogbewe, in Urhokuosa, in Edo State's Uhunmwode local government area, the CJ stated that it is insufficient for the petitioner to throw tantrums here and there just to challenge the winner. He stated that Okpebholo's triumph at the tribunal was a reaffirmation of practical government, as seen by the flagging off of huge projects across the state. Osagie stated, "The tribunal decision in favour of the APC and Governor Monday Okpebholo was simply stating the obvious. We know Okpebholo won the election on September 21, 2024.
Claiming victory, throwing tantrums, or making accusations are insufficient; you also need to prove that you were successful. The PDP and its candidate did not accomplish this. If you did not summon any eyewitnesses in any part of the state, how do you defend and prosecute an election petition? Forging documents and throwing them in court and asking the judge to begin reading them is not acceptable.
"The courts would most likely need to travel to Harvard and learn how to use the machines if they were to begin reviewing the documents and opening the BVAS to analyze it. Using the tools they brought to court, it was the petitioner's responsibility to guide the tribunal in understanding their meaning. He added that the Okpebholo administration in Edo State is God-ordained and that the governor is more committed to completing initiatives that benefit people. Osagie thanked everyone who had supported the family over the years on the tenth anniversary of his late father's passing and said that they will continue to honor and uphold their late father's work ethic.
Top APC figures, including former APC governorship candidate Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, a former deputy governor, Philip Shaibu, Edo Commissioner for Finance Osareitin Edosomwan, and Emmanuel Okoebo, were present at the event.

Medication didn't work, but with the use of brain-tricking technology, the agony is now occasionally reduced. She claims that the 100-mile journey is well worth it. Karin lost her right arm from the elbow down in the summer of 2023. An amputation resulted from an accident at her previous job. She was allowed to return home after two weeks in the hospital because the wound had healed nicely. However, the agony persisted.
